Real briefs. Real clients. Work that gets made and printed.

I design and run creative workshops where people work on a real brief for a real client and finish the day with something made. I bring 14 years of creative direction and styling into rooms with students, community groups and teams. I always begin by asking people to listen, observe and pay attention before we start making.

Westminster City Lions
With Global Generation, Kings Cross Community Nursery Developed with Laird & Good

From the ground up

Year 10 students formed creative agencies and their client was a member of the Global Generation team.

15 page zine produced from the workshop

The brief
Each agency interviewed their client about colours, textures and what they wanted for their sculpture & portrait.

1.

Observation
The day began with a mindfulness walk through the garden with Global Generation's facilitator. Students observed and listened before deciding what they wanted to use.

2.

Making
Students foraged in the nursery and combined what they found with materials brought from the Green Art Department to build their botanical sculpture.

3.

The shoot
They photographed each sculpture as well as a portrait of their client, so the two images read as one editorial spread.

4.

The edit
They chose and selected their images and a zine of the day's work was printed for every student.

Studio shoot for a rental company’s campaign
Developed with Laird & Good

Wear the change

Fifteen Year 10 students were given the brief for a rental company's first campaign and ran it like a real shoot in a studio.

Working with me as stylist and creative director, alongside a full crew. They chose the model and the clothes, built the set, set up the lighting, shot the images and selected the final frames.

Universities
University for the Creative Arts

Workshops and lectures where students work to briefs from the creative industry. The format changes, the principle doesn't.
